There are a number of sports and sports clubs that call Whitemans Green home. Below you can find them all, see what they are about, and link to their information and see how to get involved!
Padel
We are building two double and one single canopied padel courts and are working with reputable operator Smash Padel to open this facility April 2025. Padel will be open to all from 7am to 10pm seven days a week and a full time Head Padel Coach will focus on developing a social padel community and make sure anyone can pick up a padel racket and play.
Gym
A community gym is going to be built between the Clubhouse and the Padel courts. It will provide the opportunity for strength, conditioning and fitness sessions for individuals and groups that are suitable for all ages and abilities. Fund raising for the gym continues with the goal to build this extension to the main building in 2025 if possible. Once the gym is built there will be an extended balcony from the Clubhouse on its roof, overlooking the padel courts. Haywards Heath Rugby Club
Rugby club with a history that dates back nearly 70 years to 1958.
Strong senior squad that is an exciting mix of youth and experience running two teams with the 1sts in Surrey/Sussex league 1.
The biggest youth rugby section in Sussex - over 450 minis, juniors and colts; 11 different age group squads - boys & girls aged from 4 -12; youth boys aged 13-18, girls age U12, U14 & U16.
Reputation for nurturing and producing rugby talent that goes on to play at county, professional and international level.
Mission to provide inclusive sport opportunities for all ages and genders with a

Sussex Thunder American Football
The Sussex Thunder are an American football team based at Whitemans Green. They play fixtures from April through July in the South East D1 of the British American football league.
Athletics Club
We are the largest athletics club in Mid Sussex with around 230 members. From county or elite athletes to those just beginning to run, we pride ourselves on helping everyone. Our qualified coaches take groups of every ability and help everyone to reach their potential. Whitemans Green is our Summer training location.
