MISSION
The Clubhouse at Whitemans Green Sports Club is a rugby, multi-sport and community social space that encourages mutual respect, inclusivity and understanding amongst and between staff, members and visitors at all times.
WHITEMANS GREEN SPORTS CLUB - CODE OF CONDUCT
Our top priority is making sure that Whitemans Green Sports Club (WGSC) can be a safe, welcoming and enjoyable place for everyone - men, women, children and young people. WGSC is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of its members and users, ensuring a positive experience for all.
Members or users of the facilities are expected to abide by the following code of conduct:
-
All members and users must respect the rights, dignity and worth of all other members, users and staff, regardless of age, gender, ability, race, cultural background, religious beliefs or sexual identity.
-
WGSC is a place where everyone is treated equally. All members and their guests must act and behave respectfully towards other members, users and staff at all times. Members must not discriminate, or show preferential treatment towards people, based on their characteristics.
-
Bullying, harassment, threatening behaviour or abuse of any description will not be tolerated.
-
Smoking, vaping or e-cigarettes are only allowed in designated areas outside the Clubhouse building.
-
WGSC does not tolerate cheating, manipulation of competition, use of prohibited substances or methods, or unsportsmanlike conduct. We operate a strict no-drugs policy.
-
Members are responsible for the behaviour of their guests and should ensure they follow these rules accordingly.
-
All members and guests share the responsibility to speak up and challenge conduct, both when witnessed or experienced, where it falls below the standards expected and as identified above.
The conduct described in this Code extends to conduct in and around the Clubhouse, on the touchline and on all online platforms, including messaging and social media platforms. Everyone involved in rugby, whether as a player, coach, parent, spectator, or volunteer is expected to uphold the RFU core values of teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline, and sportsmanship (TREDS). It is important that members, users and all associated with WGSC should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others.
